Flip Tricks
Kickflip This is were the board does and 360 rotaion in the air. Set Up Place your back foot just like a ollie. Your front foot should be just behind the bolts and your heel hanging off the edge a little. It helps me if I point my toes a little crooked towards the nose. Steps 1.Set Up 2.Kick down on the tail 3.Slide your foot off the side, give the board a flick with your toes(not too hard or but hard enough)
4.Landing-when you see the grip tape again after the flip catch the board with your feet. Land on the board with bent knees and you've just done a pretty cool trick
Heelflip
This is the opposite of a Kickflip, instead of using your toes you use your heel.
Place your toes hanging over the edge of the board, set it behind your front trucks. Your back foot should be in the same position of an ollie.
Steps
1.Set Up
2.Kick down on the tail.
3.Kick your foot out as you slide it up like an ollie.
4.Catch the board and you've just done a cool trick(land with bent knees)
Varial Kickflip
A combination of a shove it and kickflip.
Place your foot on the tail towards the edge of the board(example:if you were regular footed your foot should be on the far edge were your heel if but use your toes for the scoop)and your front foot like a kickflip.
Note:This trick is more then a scoop then a flip.
Steps
1.Set Up
2.Use your back foot to scoop the board like a pop shove it.
3.Almost at the same time do a kickflip.
4.Catch the board and bend your knees.
Most common problems is that the board over or under rotates or the board doesn't flip at all. This trick takes time to get perfect so just get comfortable with it and you'll soon figure it out.
FS 180 Kickflip
Samething as a varial kickflip but you spin with the board. This trick would seem easy if you can varial kickflip but it's more confusing. When you do the flip part you landing sometimes will just be a guess landing when you first start doing the trick.
To set up for this trick your footing should be just like a varial kickflip.
Steps
1.Set Up
2.First start to ollie bs(I can't bs 180 so it's really a matter of training youself on the spining part)
3.When you start to do a bs 180 make sure your scooping the board with you, the kick will just start to be natural after a few trys, it helps if you can already do varial kickflips.
4.When doing this trick you don't need to make the board do a 180 just do the varial kickflip part and train yourself to control it and spin.
5.Landing-Know how to land a varial kickflip, but this time your going to spin so look down at the board as your spining and make sure when you land you've done a 180 in the air the same way your board spins and land with bent knees. any questions about this trick put it in my guestbook or email me.
Hard Flip
This is kinda like a varial kickflip except the board goes more vertical.
To set up for this trick place your back toes in the center of the tail and let your heel hang off. Your front foot will be on the board like a kickflip but away from the bolts more.
1.Set Up
2.Kick down on the tail really hard with your toes.
3.Slide your foot off the board and give it a little flip so it flips.
4.Spread your legs in the air, careful, you may rack yourself.
5.Land on the bolts and you did a hard trick.
Basic Tricks
BS 180 This is exactly what it sounds like, you do a 180 with the board. Place your back foot on the tail just like you'd do for a ollie and your front foot on the front bolts or a little further back if you want more height. Steps 1.Set Up
2.Kick down on the tail
3.Through your hips back almost at the same time.
4.Land with bent knees
Note:At first you going to feel weird throughing your hips back but you'll get use to it.
Shove It
This is when your board does a 180 but you don't.
Place your foot almost flat across the board(this helps with better control) and your front feet should be somewhere behind the bolts depending on the height you want.
Steps
1.Set Up
2.Don't Kick On The Tail! Slide your feet like your scooping the board, samething with any varialflips.
3.Let your front foot slide off the side of the board.
4.When you've seen the board complete it's spin spot your landing and bend your knees.
